Print vs embroidery
A question you may be asking yourself is “should I have print or embroidery on my uniforms?”. This is a good and quite common question we often get asked. If you are considering whether to have your logo printed or embroidered, this blog post will be sure to help you.
Durability
When it comes to durability, our print and embroidery services certainly do tick all the boxes. However, there are some professions where it may be beneficial for you to have your logo embroidered, rather than printed. For example, those in healthcare professions will be washing their uniforms at much higher temperatures. This is where embroidery wins the race as it can withstand higher washing temperatures and the quality of the logo will not be affected.
The detailing on your logo
A large contributor of the print vs embroidery debate can be how detailed your logo is. If your logo has finer details such as shading, it may be best to opt for print services as this can present the shades with more precision and accuracy than embroidery. If you logo consists of block colours, it may be best to head down the embroidery route.
The sizing of your logo
The sizing of your logo can also determine your print or embroidery options. If your logo is particularly large and features a specific image, print will be your best option. However, if you have a smaller logo, we recommend choosing embroidery. If you are looking to add text onto your garments which features your company name or telephone number, we recommend having this embroidered too.
Your own preference
Another factor to consider is your own preference. You might be more drawn towards one of the services. Although most of our customers choose embroidery, you might prefer the aesthetic appearance of printed logos. Your personal preference is a very important factor when choosing your workwear logos.
Print and embroidery are both great choices for your logo and are great for making your uniform stand out. Sometimes it may be best to have your logo printed due to sizing and shading, whereas sometimes embroidery will be a safer and more sustainable option depending on your sector of work.
